I worked on my “Madrona Road Challenge” for the Modern Quilt Guild last night. I doubt that I’ll finish anything by the Jan 31 national deadline, but our local guild gave us until March, so I’m going to keep at it.
Anyway, I just have to show you what I did last night…it made me squeal!

I was so excited to see the cool design that chevron fabric created in this star block!!
If you’re not familiar with the Madrona Road challenge, we were supplied with the line of fabric to use for the challenge (fat eighths of 7 fabrics) and that’s the only rule, to use fabrics only from that line or solids in whatever we want to create.
Can’t wait to show you the rest of the challenge, but then I have to make it before I can do that!!

That chevron print is really effective in just the right places. Seems you’ve found that place! It’s going to be a wonderful block, and quilt. I can see that already!
